Can I have LASIK on the same day as my exam in Busan?
At BGSS, “same-day LASIK” means your comprehensive eye exam, consultation and surgery planning can be organised on one day for efficiency. Whether surgery can also take place that day depends on your measurements, eye health and your doctor’s decision, so it is never guaranteed in advance.
Contact lens wear, dry eye or unusual corneal measurements can mean you need to wait. In those cases your doctor will explain why and suggest a safe timeline.

How to make a same-day plan more likely
Before your visit:
- Stop wearing contact lenses for the period your coordinator advises
- Bring your glasses and previous prescriptions
- Tell us about dry eye, allergies or medications
- Keep flexible travel dates if you can
If surgery cannot be done on the day, your doctor will explain why and recommend a safe plan.

Why might I have to wait?
Recent contact lens wear, dry eye, an unstable prescription or unusual corneal measurements may require more time or a different procedure.
How long should I stay in Busan?
Plan for the exam, surgery and at least one follow-up check. Your coordinator will suggest a schedule based on your procedure.
Is SMILE also available on a fast-track schedule?
Scheduling depends on your eyes and the procedure. The international team can advise for SMILE, LASIK or LASEK.
Do you speak English?
Yes. Coordinators support you in English and Chinese throughout your visit.
